Dr.Shrinivas M Joshi
CHAIRMAN-SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE

Dear Member,

As the Honorary Secretary of the Karnataka Ophthalmic Society, it gives me immense pleasure and pride in writing a message for the Scientific Committee 2018. The KOS annual conference was held in Mangalore 21 years ago and this year the South Kanara Ophthalmic Society is geared up to offer you a conference that you will remember for a very long time. I wish them the very best.
Working with Dr Sai Giridhar Kamath as the president was a very fulfilling experience. I have not seen a person more committed towards the betterment of KOS than him.
Dr.Srinivas Joshi, has taken the scientific committee to heights greater than ever with innovative and educative programs like college connect programs and many other.
There were a few things that happened this year that deemed mention.
* From this year onwards, named/titled awards and Orations will be given. This has greatly improved the financial health of the KOS.
*An Online Extra Ordinary GBM was held, to validate an Online Voting System for election of the Office Bearers.
I thank each and every member of the KOS and especially my co-office bearers for making it a smooth sailing year and hope we all join hands in taking KOS to greater heights.
Hope to see you in Mangalore and wish you all a very enjoyable KOSCON 2018!!
